Day 1 - Generation Z: The Answer

Generation Z-often referred to as "the crisis generation"-is in fact not the crisis, but the answer. Born roughly between 1997 and 2010, Gen Z has been raised in a world marked by digital technology, social instability, and shifting moral norms. But through the lens of the Kingdom of God, they represent not a problem to fix but a purpose to uncover. Jesus once asked His disciples, "Who do men say that I am?" And when Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God," Jesus made a powerful declaration: "Upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18) That rock wasn't Peter-it was the revelation of who Jesus is. That revelation is still building God's Church today.
Many in Gen Z are asking the same questions: Who is God? Who am I? What's my purpose? And rather than run from these deep inquiries, they're pressing in. Their hunger for truth, justice, and authenticity is evidence that God is working behind the scenes. He is building His Church, not with bricks and mortar but with the living stones of this generation.
Discipleship is more important now than ever. God told me years ago, "I don't need you to build Me a steeple-I need you to build My people." That word still resonates. Generation Z doesn't need another program or personality to follow. They need spiritual fathers and mothers who will disciple them, listen to them, and walk with them. Let's lay the foundation now. Let's build spaces where their voices matter and their faith is nurtured. Let's challenge them to go deeper, live holier, and lead with integrity. Let's declare today that Gen Z is not the crisis-they are the Christ-centered answer to the cries of a broken world.
